KB5828: How to use pre and post macros when exporting a report to Microsoft Excel in MicroStrategy Developer 9.4.x - 10.x

In order to apply a pre or post macro to a report exported to Microsoft Excel, users must follow the steps below:

• Open the report in the report editor and go to Data > Export Options, as shown below:
  

• In the Destination File name, browse and find the name of the .xls file in which the macro is saved.
• Under 'Macros', specify the name of the macro next to the type of macro to be applied.
• Click on 'OK' and save the report. The macros will be applied when the report is exported to Microsoft Excel.
