KB6787: Why tables with prefixes YY and GG get created by MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server?

This article describes why tables with prefixes YY and and GG get created in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server.

During normal operation of Strategy Narrowcast Server, several tables with prefixes YY and GG such as 'gg12345669' and 'yy3232923' are created. These are temporary tables created when using the Strategy Narrowcast Administrator (opening different editors, running searches, etc.) or during service execution.
All the data contained in the tables, as well as the tables themselves are deleted from the Narrowcast Server repositories when closing the Narrowcast Administrator or when the system is stopped. There are instances where, an improper shutdown of the Narrowcast Administrator or a system crash could leave behind some of these tables. However, the system should delete any leftover tables within a day or two. To accomplish this, the system stores a list of temporary tables in MSTRSBRTEMPTABLES and MSTRBCRTEMPTABLES.
