Multiple un-clustered Strategy 2021 Intelligence Servers may not access a single metadata repository . This configuration is not supported by Strategy even if the different Intelligence Servers are not providing user access to the same projects (i.e. un-clustered and asymmetric). The reason this configuration is not supported is because concurrent un-clustered access may cause metadata inconsistencies at both project and the configuration objects level that may lead to irreversible corruption of the Strategy metadata.
If users connected to the different Strategy Intelligence Server perform any conflicting actions on metadata objects (including trivial actions such as creating a folder etc), the state of metadata as viewed within the individual un-clustered Strategy Intelligence Servers will be unsynchronized. When the individual Intelligence Servers attempt to persist objects to the metadata repository, the inconsistencies will be permanent.

Users are advised that unclustered Intelligence Servers using the same metadata is an unsupported configuration. Strategy Technical Support is unable to assist users with issues arising from the implementation of such a configuration.
