KB6988: Unable to set the 'Use Dynamic HTML?' Web User Preference to 'Determine automatically' with MicroStrategy Web 9.x

SYMPTOM:
In the Web User Preferences of Strategy Web, when users change the 'Use Dynamic HTML?' setting to 'Determine automatically' and click on 'Apply', the following message appears:


Update Confirmation. Your personal preferences have been saved

However, the Dynamic Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) setting still states 'No', like shown below:

CAUSE:
"Enable screen reader compatibility" is also checked. Screen reader compatibility mode will force Strategy Web to display without Dynamic HTML.

Note: The screen reader compatibility option should only be checked when using Strategy Web with a third-party screen reading software.

ACTION:
Disable screen reader compatibility.
