In Strategy Web, by default, users must click on menus to open them. This document explains how users can configure their preferences to make the menus expand when hovering over them rather than clicking on the items. The setting 'Require mouse click to open menus' in User Preferences > General > Drop Down menus, as shown below, is checked by default requiring users to click to expand menus (such as Format, View, etc.)
To change the default behavior, un-check this setting and apply the change so that, when users hover over a menu it automatically expands to reveal the menu items as shown below.
NOTE: This setting is available at the project preferences and at the user preferences level. The user preferences level overrides the project level preference.
