KB7968: How to delete all of the data from a Datamart table without dropping the table in MicroStrategy Developer versions 9.x.

In Strategy Developer versions 9.x, users can delete all of the data from the Datamart table without dropping the table by following the steps outlined below:

• Set the Datamart to 'Append to existing table'.
  

• In the Datamart 'SQL Statement' tab, add the following SQL statement:
  Delete from DATAMART_TABLE_NAME
  

 
The SQL for the Datamart report looks like the following:
Delete from TEST_DM
insert into TEST_DM
select a11.Year_Id Year_Id,
  sum(a11.Tot_Dollar_Sales) WJXBFS1
from YR_CATEGORY_SLS a11
group by a11.Year_Id
