Stefan Zepeda

In MicroStrategy 9.x, users can include date text fields in a Report Services document by either using macros for execution time, current time or by using a date attribute.

In Strategy 9.x, users can include date text fields in a Report Services document by either using macros for execution time, current time or by using a date attribute.

For example, a user would like to specify the date format as DD/MM/YY. To achieve this, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the formatting option for the text field either by right-clicking on the menu or the Object Properties region.
  2. In the Number tab, under format, select 'Date' and select the desired formatting style.
If the desired date format is not in the list, select 'Custom' in the Number tab and specify the desired custom format where MM represents Month, YY for Year and DD for Day.

For example, users can specify the date format to be DD-MM-YYYY in the custom format in order to display the date as 21-12-2003.

Once the document is executed, the date will be in the desired format.
