KB9355: How to ensure that a grid won't overlap with other objects in the returned data of MicroStrategy Report Services documents

To ensure that grids included in a Report Services document won't overlap with other objects, it is necessary to use sub-sections.
The following example uses the text field Country Summary and a grid with Country Sales in the Details header. Below this grid, an additional text field and grid will be included, however, it is unknown how many countries the first grid will return and how long the grid will grow.
 
To account for the growth of the grid and to also start the next text field and grid adjacent to the first grid, perform the following steps:

• Include the Country Summary text and Country Sales grid in the details header section. For the grid, set the Height mode object property to 'Fit to contents'. This will ensure the grid is sized according to the contents.
• Right-click in the details header section and select 'Insert Section Below' to insert a sub-section, as shown below:
  

• In this sub-section, include the second text field and the second grid.
