SYMPTOM:
When users (on certain machines) attempt to run a PDF document or export a report to PDF in Strategy Web 8.x, Adobe Acrobat doesn't open and the browser remains blank.
An additional symptom of this issue occurs when users change a setting in Adobe so that PDF is not displayed in the browser. Following this change, when users attempt to run a PDF document in Strategy Web or export reports to PDF, a pop-up appears prompting the user to Open or Save the file.
If the user chooses to Open the file, they receive the error message 'Report could not be accessed'.
If they choose to Save the file and then open the file after saving it, the data is successfully retrieved.
CAUSE:
This issue occurs because the browser temporary files limit has been reached.
ACTION:
In the machines where this issue occurs, delete the browser temporary files. To do so, open a browser and go to the Tools Menu > Internet Options > General Tab. Click on the "Delete files" button in the Temporary Internet File section, as shown below:

After deleting the files, users should be able to both run the PDF documents and export reports to PDF in Strategy Web 8.x.
