SYMPTOM:
When executing a report in Strategy Developer or Web, users encounter an error message containing the following string:
ORA-00600: internal message code
Below is an example of one of these error messages, as seen in the Strategy Web Interface:
(QueryEngine encountered error: Call SQLExecDirect got SQL_Error...
Error in Process method of Component:
QueryEngineServer, Project 1 , Job XXXXX, Error Code= -2147212544
CAUSE:
This error is generated directly by the Oracle Database. As of this time, there have been no instances reported in which it was determined that this issue has been caused by the Strategy Product Suite.
ACTION:
Oracle has standardized guidelines for handling these issues. Each argument following the "ORA-00600: internal message code" message has a specific meaning which can only be interpreted by an Oracle support analyst. According to Oracle, every occurrence of an ORA-600 should be reported to Oracle Support. Only Oracle technical support should diagnose and take actions to prevent or resolve damage to the database.
