The following error message appears when performing a project merge on a project source whose configuration has been locked in MicroStrategy Developer 10.x: “%1 object `%2` with ID `%3` cannot be modified because it is %4 by `%5` on `%6` since %7. Please contact your administrator for more information.”

SYMPTOM:
The following error message appears when performing a project merge on a project source whose configuration has been locked in Strategy Developer 10.x

%1 object `%2` with ID `%3` cannot be modified because it is %4 by `%5` on `%6` since %7. Please contact your administrator for more information.
CAUSE:
This issue occurs if a project sources' configuration is locked. This is indicated by the following message found in the DSSERRORS.LOG file when the error message above appears:
CASTOR_SERVER_CONFIGURATION` with ID `xxxxxxx` cannot be modified because it is in use by `Administrator` on `machinename` since d/dd/yyyy h:mm:ss. Please contact your administrator for more information.
ACTION:
To resolve this issue, go to the Administration menu > Locking > Unlock Configuration, as shown below:
