"Key not found in this collection." error appears when using Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Edge web browsers in MicroStrategy 2019 Update 4

Description


In Strategy 2019 Update 4, when using Internet Explorer or Edge web browsers with a non-default (100%) zoom level, users may see the error, "Key not found in this collection."
This issue is specific to Internet Explorer and Edge web browsers. This issue does not occur on Chrome, Firefox, or other browsers. This issue does not occur in Strategy Library.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use Internet Explorer or Edge web browsers to access Strategy Web 2019 Update 4.
  2. Set the browser zoom level to a value other than 100%.
  3. When performing certain actions in Strategy Web, such as folder browsing, or running reports or documents, the error message appears and will persist each time the same action is taken.

Why is this happening?


This is a an identified defect in Strategy Web 2019 Update 4 in combination with Internet Explorer and Edge browsers with the browser zoom level set to anything other than 100%.

Solution


This issue is resolved in Strategy 2019 Update 5. To take advantage of the fix, upgrade to Strategy 2019 Update 5 or later. Please contact Strategy Technical Support for any additional questions.
If you are unable to upgrade, and using a different web browser is not an option, use the following workaround.

In most instances, the following set of actions will resolve the problem; however, there are certain conditions where the following set of steps do not consistently work. If the following steps do not work for you, please contact Strategy Technical Support for assistance.

  1. Set the browser zoom to 100%
  2. Clear the browser cache
  3. Close and re-open the web browser
