KB485920: LDAP authentication fails in MicroStrategy 2021 Update 9 if the Intelligence Server is on RedHat 9.0 or 9.1, and libldap_r-2.4.so.2 or libldap_r.so.2.0.200 is used in LDAP configuration

Symptom

LDAP authentication fails in Strategy 2021 Update 9 if the Intelligence Server is on RedHat 9.0 or 9.1, and libldap_r-2.4.so.2 or libldap_r.so.2.0.200 is used as the LDAP SDK Library. 

The following error appears in the different Strategy clients when you attempt to log in with LDAP authentication mode.

The following entries can be found in DSSErrors.log:

Please contact your administrator: the required LDAP components could not be found or are not LDAP v3 compliant.

Cause

This is a known issue in Strategy Intelligence Server 2021 Update 9 on RedHat 9.0 and 9.1. 
 

Action

Update LDAP SDK Library to “/lib64/libcrypto.so.3; /lib64/libssl.so.3;/lib64/libldap_r-2.4.so.2;“ or “/lib64/libcrypto.so.3; /lib64/libssl.so.3;/lib64/libldap_r.so.2.0.200;“
