There are two methods that the Strategy platform offers to provide map/geolocation visualizations: ESRI and Geolocation Services (using Mapbox). Information to configure these services can be found in our MicroStrategy GIS Integration manual. These services need license keys to operate via Strategy.
How do I obtain a license key? License keys for supported Strategy platforms for these services can be obtained via self-service through the MicroStrategy download site.
Note that as Strategy and ESRI continue to make improvements to the service/API's, ESRI keys provided for older/unsupported versions of Strategy may stop working. Please ensure that you stay on the latest release supported release of Strategy to avoid interruptions in service.
If you are a customer on our Strategy Cloud (MCE) then the Strategy team will ensure that you are on the latest version and also handle deployment of your ESRI/Geospatial license keys
What should you do if your ESRI key has expired? If you are on a supported version of Strategy you may request a new license key through our download site. If you are not on a supported version of Strategy then ensure that you upgrade to the latest supported version and request a new ESRI license key. The currently supported versions of Strategy are listed here: https://www.microstrategy.com/support/support-lifecycle
