Learn more about the Line Chart: Ring

Community Admin

• Strategy

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description

A line chart, also referred to as a line graph, is a type of chart that displays information as a series of data points called 'markers' connected by straight line segments. It is a basic type of chart common in many fields. Line charts are most often used to visualize data that changes over time. It is similar to the Scatter Plot or Bubble Chart, except that the measurement points are ordered (typically by their x-axis value) and joined with straight line segments.
Users can change the look of the data markers to make them easier to distinguish. Users can assign different marker types such as squares, circles, or rings by adding a metric or attribute to "Color by" box in the editor. Adding colors to the markers helps in distinguishing these markers from each other; it also helps to enhance the data analysis overall.
