MiGROS Grocery Retail Solution From MicroStrategy Partner: Obase

Brandon Martin

Senior Sales Engineer • MicroStrategy

The MiGROS Detail solution from Obase allows store managers the ability to monitor data on cashiers, customers, sales, and stock reports all while observing the the active operations of his or her store.

The store manager must take actions based on the data of millions of transactions, made possible by utilizing specifically designed systems. However, using these systems requires the manager to be in the office and away from the sales floor, putting him or her at risk of losing communication with the associates, merchandise, and the customer.
Obase adjusted the process with the Detailer MiGROS solution, enabling the store manager to work on the sales floor on his mobile device. Now he or she can work while monitoring the data, cashier, customer, sales, stock reports, and observing the active operations. This change om work location increased the customer satisfaction dramatically.
In the space of six months, Detailer was customized for MiGROS to develop a comprehensive tablet-PC-based information platform for the store managers called “My Office App”. With that application, the store manager can access various data and analyses (planograms, product information, clearance sales analysis etc.) Thereby the branches work with the same data as the head office and information can be transmitted directly to the head office using the mobile terminal.
