This is a short demo for how to use MicroStrategy Analytics (formerly known as Visual Insights pre 9.4.1). MicroStrategy Analytics is a built in component if you have enterprise BI platform; it exists as a desktop standalone version that can be downloaded and used separately (it is a free tool so far). In this video we cover how to upload external data, create grids and graphs, create interactive dashboards, and utilize the many visual capabilities of this tool. This tool was MicroStrategy's response to Tableau which provided a lighter version of BI. A big advantage of MicroStrategy Analytics; once a dashboard is created with Analytics it can be directly linked into the enterprise BI platform - thus enabling the business user to become a first tier developer.
