An HTTP 500 error is displayed in Strategy Library after updating Tomcat to 9.0.67. This occurs on Strategy 2020 or 2021 versions. Apache Tomcat 9.0.67 was released by Apache on September 23, 2022.
Please note that our latest release Strategy 2021 Update 7 ships with Apache Tomcat 9.0.65. This behavior only impacts customers who have specifically upgraded Tomcat to 9.0.67.
Strategy has identified the root cause to be documented in Apache Tomcat Issue 66277. To avoid this issue, Strategy recommends customers to refrain from deploying Strategy Library applications on Apache Tomcat 9.0.67 and stay on Apache Tomcat 9.0.65 until a fix is provided by Apache.
