Latest News - The June 2024 Release of MicroStrategy is live on our Product Download page. Go upgrade today! The June 2024 release is packed with capabilities designed to empower frontline workers and democratize analytics across your organization.
- A key highlight of MicroStrategy’s latest release is the integration of Auto, our Generative AI-powered capabilities, directly into HyperIntelligence, making it possible to ask and answer any question with AI. This AI+BI powerhouse is designed to empower frontline workers by providing instant access to trusted information from any data set in any application.
- Auto keeps getting smarter too, learning in this release how to better respond to questions by giving users the opportunity to provide immediate feedback through a thumbs-down feature. Additionally, new visualization types within the bot expand the range of questions Auto can address, in simple natural language accompanied by visuals. For our analysts, the June release brings more flexibility than ever to dashboards, with enhanced layout controls, the ability to set and adjust dataset features, and pin and freeze columns in the grid. These enhancements allow users to tailor their dashboards to their personal or organizational needs.

- MicroStrategy ONE June 2024 will use Spring 6.x, Tomcat 10.1.x and JBoss 8. MicroStrategy users with spring-based customizations, such as authentication or custom java beans, should evaluate if their customizations or plugins are impacted by this update and may need changes. Important steps to facilitate a smooth transition are outlined in this article.

- Discontinuation of Workstation for macOS. This is a reminder that MicroStrategy ONE June 2024 will not support connections from mac installations of Workstation. Further details regarding support of Workstation for macOS can be found in this article.
- Updates to the default Distribution Services notification email address. MicroStrategy has implemented DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) to enhance security and reliability of the email distributions. These security protocols help prevent spam and phishing by ensuring only authorized senders for emails. Customers are encouraged to use an email address from their own domain as the default email address for Distribution Services notifications has been changed from distributionservices@microstrategy.com to no-reply@yourdomain.com. - Discontinuation of Federated Analytics connectors for Jupyter Notebook and R-Studio. This is a reminder that the MicroStrategy for Jupyter Notebook extension was removed from the mstrio-py package in March 2024. Despite this change, the mstrio-py library, including all Python modules for data and administration, continues to be developed and updated with every release.
Similarly, the support for the MicroStrategy for RStudio connector and mstrio for R libraries has been discontinued as of March 2024. Customers can still use the last available version of mstrio for R temporarily as they transition to the Python-based mstrio-py libraries.
