MicroStrategy iOS SDK 11.0 fails to compile in Xcode 10

Community Admin

• Strategy

Compiling the 11.0 MicroStrategy Mobile iOS SDK with Xcode 10 throws a linker error by default.

After attempting to compile the Strategy Mobile 11.0 iOS SDK using Xcode 10, compilation fails with the following error:

ld: library not found for -lStdC++
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

Reason

While 11.0 Strategy Mobile release is compatible with iOS 12, but should not be compiled with Xcode 10.
Xcode 10 deprecates functionality that this iOS release is still dependent on, causing compilation and linker issues.

Action

Use the Xcode version specified in What's New in the Mobile SDK for iOS.
Previous versions of Xcode can be downloaded directly from Apple's website at https://developer.apple.com/download/more/
