Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
The Microcharts widget consists of compact representations of data that allow analysts to quickly visualize trends in data. Microcharts convey information so that a user can, at a glance, determine the trend of a metric over time or how a metric is performing compared to forecasted figures. For example, you may want a grid showing Sales by region, the trend of Sales by month in a sparkline Microchart, and finally Sales vs Quota in Bullet Chart.
Microcharts give you the ability to embed different chart types such as Sparklines, Bar charts, or Bullet charts into a Grid. Our team designed a no frills Bullet chart to track performance against target. This chart type distills his principles to effectively track KPIs over time and against target .
The chart requires a group by dimension and a trend by dimension. Any number of measures (KPI metrics) can then be represented either as a number or as a chart. The Microchart can also be expanded and collapsed as needed.
