With Strategy, it is easy to integrate data from MultiDimensional Expressions (MDX) cube sources, such as SAP BW, IBM Cognos TM1, Oracle Essbase, or Microsoft Analysis Services, into your Strategy projects. The Strategy Server converts data stored in an MDX cube source into Strategy objects using the MDX language. MDX is similar to SQL, but is used to query cubes.
Microsoft Analysis Services 2005, 2008, and 2012 (Analysis Services 2005/ 2008/2012) has a unique modeling approach for building cubes. Users can connect to those cubes from Strategy and leverage the rich set of Strategy reporting and analytical functionality on these cubes as they would on any other dataset. Users can create data marts and intelligent in-memory cubes, blend information from MDX cubes with other data using Strategy's multi-source capabilities, and create multiple reports to run against a single MDX cube.
