Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM
Some users may notice when having the 10.8 Dossier app open simultanously with a MSTR app installed on a mobile device a dashboard will be automatically be opened using the Dossier app instead of the MSTR app it is intended for.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install both the 10.8 mobile app and a MSTR app on a device
2. Try opening a dashboard on the mobile app
CAUSE
This is something that was addressed when Dossier app is generally available in 10.9. From 10.9 onwards, for the mstr:// prefix to only open the Mobile app, and dossier:// to open the Dossier app. In a future release, both apps will are integrated into one, in which case that app will support both prefixes.
ACTION
This issue has been addressed in 10.9. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
WORKAROUND
For users requiring the app to be open on a MSTR mobile app we suggest deleting the 10.8 early adopter Dossier app on the device to ensure the mstr:// prefix only opens the Mobile app.
