KB440253: “PDF exporting is terminated due to an internal error. Server JSON data is incorrect, error code is: 0” error occurs when create an alert containing dossier in MicroStrategy 10.x

This issue has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to MicroStrategy 10.x product only when create an alert containing a dossier. A code fix for this issue is not available in current releases but is being reviewed for a future MicroStrategy release.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
 
in Strategy 10.x, when create an alert containing a dossier against a report, “PDF exporting is terminated due to an internal error. Server JSON data is incorrect, error code is: 0” error on the page as shown below:

REPRODUCING STEPS IN TUTORIAL:

  1. Create a report 
  2. Run this report and create an Alerts. This alert contains a dossier
  3. Send a preview now


  
CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue with Strategy 10.x.
 
 
ACTION:
 
 
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
