KB440254: Partial content is displayed when exporting a expanded long enough report to PDF with A3 landscape/portrait in MicroStrategy 10.x

This issue has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to MicroStrategy 10.x product only when a report is expanded to long enough and export to specific size and orientation. A code fix for this issue is not available in current releases but is being reviewed for a future MicroStrategy release.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
 
in Strategy 10.x, when a report is expanded to long enough, after export to PDF with A3 landscape/portrait, A4 portrait, the exported PDF only shows the top part of the whole dossier.
 
The content is fine when export with Letter Auto/landscape/portrait, A4  Auto/landscape, A3 Auto.
 
REPRODUCING STEPS IN TUTORIAL:

  1. Open one report, expanded the node to make the report long enough
  2. Export to PDF with content=individual page
  3. Try page size A3 and orientation portrait as shown below:

CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue with Strategy 10.x.
 
 
ACTION:
 
 
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
