KB484606: When "Row Header" is centered and in the middle of a dossier grid, few row headers are not aligned correctly in MicroStrategy Web 2019 and above

Elena Arman

Senior Support Engineer • Strategy

This article describes the issue where centered row headers of a dossier grid does not appear properly aligned in MicroStrategy Web 2019 and above.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description

In Strategy Web 2019 and above, when running a dossier with row headers centered in the middle (vertically) of the grid, row headers do not appear correctly as you scroll down. Row headers should appear at the top of the dossier instead of the middle, as it is set in the properties.

Steps to reproduce

The following steps were used to reproduce the issue in the Strategy Tutorial Project.

  1. Create a report with the Region, Category, Subcategory attributes, and some metrics.
  2. Create a dossier and use all attributes and metrics in a grid visualization.
  3. Open the Format tab and make sure that the alignment for "Row header" is set to centered and in the middle (vertically).
  4. Scroll down in the grid and notice that some elements are not aligned properly like Northeast and Books, as shown in the image above.

Why is this happening?

This issue is being investigated by the Technology team.
