This article addresses the 500 error that is returned when launching Library from ASP (IIS). This article also provides workarounds to avoid this error.

Description

In Strategy 2021 Update 6, there is a known problem for seamless login between Web ASP (IIS) and JSP Library Web. When clicking Library launch from Web ASP (IIS), a 500 error is returned. This issue is currently being reviewed and will be addressed with Strategy 2021 Update 7.
You can refer to the following two workarounds for existing Strategy 2021 Update 6 environments.

Workaround #1

  1. Download the CLASSPATH_WebSDK.reg file.
  2. Double-click it on the Windows server to import the registry.
  3. Restart the IIS server.

Workaround #2

  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MicroStrategy\JNI Bridge 64\Configuration\JVM ClassPath] and modify the value of the WebSDK entry to the following value:

    %MSTR_CLASSPATH%\jackson-annotations-2.13.2.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\jackson-core-2.13.2.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\jackson-databind-2.13.2.2.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\jakarta.xml.bind-api-2.3.3.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\commons-validator-1.7.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\guava-30.1.1-jre.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\owasp-java-html-sanitizer-20211018.2.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\jjwt-0.9.0.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\JSON.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebTransform.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebBeans.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\RegistryBridge.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\mainstj.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\JavaWebAPI.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebTags.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebObjects.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebUtils.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebXMLUtils.jar;%MSTR_CLASSPATH%\WebAppUtils.jar;

  3. Restart the IIS server.
