Control Strategy services using Strategy Service Manager
Service Manager is a management tool installed with the Strategy Intelligence Server that enables you
to start and stop various Strategy services including the Intelligence Server.
Using the Strategy Service Manager users can also set startup options for each of these services.
Services which the Strategy Service Manager can start/stop and manage are:
Strategy Intelligence Server: The main service for your Strategy reporting environment. It provides the authentication, clustering, governing, and other administrative management requirements for your Strategy reporting environment.
Strategy Listener: A utility you can use to check the availability of an Intelligence Server on your network, whether a DSN can connect to a database, and whether a project source name can connect to a project source.
Strategy Distribution Manager: The service that distributes subscription processing across available Execution Engines.
Strategy Execution Engine: The service for Narrowcast Server that gathers content, formats the content, and delivers the content to the devices for a subscription.
Strategy Enterprise Manager Data Loader: The service for Enterprise Manager that retrieves data for the projects that are logging statistics. This data is then loaded into the Enterprise Manager warehouse for reporting and analysis with the Enterprise Manager project.
