This article describes a possible error that can be seen during a silent install when performing an installation on Windows OS

SYMPTOM
The following error is seen when attempting to perform a silent installation on Windows environments. 
 


[SILENTMODE] Installation cancelled due to pending file rename operation

CAUSE
The error indicates that the installer found that there are currently pending file rename operations to be performed on the next restart. These may or may not be related to previous Strategy installations. 
ACTION
Restart the machine before proceeding with the installation in order to allow the pending rename operations to be completed.
