Simple Real Time demo on MicroStrategy AWS Cloud

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
The goal of this exercise is to build a simple real-time visualization based on Strategy AWS Cloud infrastructure. We are going to use some components that are preinstalled there (Node.js, Kafka, Python, Strategy) and add some missing components (npm, Node-RED with additional nodes, Python modules).
This is the workflow of our demo:

• We will use the simplest MSTR Provisioning Cloud instance (‘Team’ version) with an additional Windows Box
• We will use statistics data about CPU and RAM usage of the host Linux Server
• Data is captured with a simple Python script
• The same Python script (with Kafka Producer module) forwards the data to Kafka
• Kafka publishes this data
• Node-RED dashboard is subscribed to Kafka and displays it in real time
• MSTR Dossier contains Node-RED dashboard in HTML container (iFrame).
• Test: open/close several programs on the server (like Open Office) and observe in real time how this affects usage of CPU and RAM
