KB485286: Slow GUI response when clicking on the Dossier Format panel icon after upgrading MicroStrategy Web to version 2021 Update 1-3

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom

After upgrading Strategy Web to version 2021 Update 1, Update 2 or Update 3, without browser cache, it takes more than 10 seconds to render the Format panel after clicking on the Dossier Format panel icon (could be longer depending on the network).

By analyzing the network trace, users can observe that it takes long time to download the dossier-format-react.js file.

Cause

This is a known issue of Strategy Web 2021 Update 1, Update 2 and Update 3.

Action

The performance has been optimized in Strategy Web 2021 Update 4. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
