Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
It is slow to create or run an existing dossier in Strategy Web 2021 Update 4.
From the network trace, it takes long time to process https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans|Noto+Sans+JP|Noto+Sans+KR|Noto+Sans+SC|Noto+Sans+TC|Roboto:300,400,500&display=swap
CAUSE:
In 2021 Update 4, when users try to create or run a dossier, the client machine needs to connect to https://fonts.googleapis.com for font “Noto Sans”. It takes time (around 21 seconds) to process the request if the connection to https://fonts.googleapis.com is not available.
ACTION:
The workflow has been optimized in 2021 Update 7. It’s no longer required to connect to https://fonts.googleapis.com when creating or running a dossier. Users are suggested to upgrade Strategy to 2021 Update 7 or later to take advantage of this.
Or a workaround is make sure the client machine can access https://fonts.googleapis.com successfully.
