SYMPTOM:
After creating a dashboard in Strategy Analytics Desktop 10.4 Hotfix 5 or higher, the user encounters an error when trying to upload it into Strategy Web. Both Desktop and the Intelligence Server are the same version and hotfix. The dashboard was created using data from SQL Server 2016, which was certified as a data source beginning in 10.4 Hotfix 5.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
CAUSE:
Strategy 10.4 Hotfix 5 certified SQL Server 2016 as a data source. In Strategy Analytics Desktop, users can select SQL Server 2016 as the database version without any additional steps. After installing hotfix 5 or higher on the Intelligence Server, the SQL Server 2016 database object is not automatically added to the metadata. When the user tries to upload a dashboard that uses this database version, the necessary DBMS object for SQL Server 2016 is not found.
ACTION:
Upgrade the Strategy SQL Server Wire Protocol ODBC Driver on the Intelligence Server and install the SQL Server 2016 DBMS object. See the following KB articles for the necessary steps:
