Teradata 16.0/16.10 certified drivers are not found in a MicroStrategy Web DSN-less connection.

Symptom:
When a user attempts to create a DSN-less connection while importing data in Strategy Web, they may see the message, Certified driver not found, if they are using Teradata 16.0/16.10.

Cause:
This situation occurs because Strategy is expecting the driver to be named Teradata, instead of  Teradata 16.0/16.1.
Action:

  1. Open the registry (Windows) or MSIReg.reg (Linux) on your Intelligence Server and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI.
  2. In this folder, locate the Teradata Database ODBC Driver 16.10 folder and rename it Teradata.
  3. In this folder, locate the ODBC Drivers folder. In this folder locate the Teradata Database ODBC Driver 16.10 registry string and rename it Teradata.
  4. After making these changes, close the registry and restart the Intelligence Server. The certified Teradata driver now appears in the Strategy Web DSN-less connection.
