KB441149: The Last function displays the last non-zero value of a given range when running a live connected dossier in 10.X

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
The Last function displays the last non-zero value of a given range instead of the last value in a live connected dossier.  The value is not correct when the actual last value is 0.  
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Open the Tutorial database file "TUTORIAL_DATA_7200.mdb", select "ITEM_MNTH_SLS" table and set the "TOT_COST" value to 0 on the row of "ITEM_ID=1" and "MONTH_ID=201612".
  

• In Strategy Web, create a dossier.
• Add attributes Item, Month and a metric Cost to the dossier with a live connection.
• Add a filter with the condition "Item@ID =1".
• Drag Month and Cost to a grid. Note that the Cost value of the last row is 0 as below:
  

• Create a derived metric: Last of Cost, visualization level, sort by Month ID (Ascending), as shown below:
  

• Add the derived metric to the grid and remove the Month attribute. Note that the derived metric displays the last non-zero value instead of 0, as shown below:

CAUSE:
This is a known defect in Strategy Web 10.X 
ACTION:
This issue has been fixed in Strategy 11.0 and above.
