Lingling Wang

This article explains why the View in App button is not working for all mobile mail applications. This article also provides workarounds to avoid this behavior.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description

When mentioned in a comment or invited to view a dossier, you will receive an email notification. When using mobile mail apps, the View in App button may not work as expected. Clicking the button may not bring you to the Strategy Mobile Library application.

Why is this happening?

You may be experiencing this behavior because the link configured on the "View in App" button is started with the app scheme. In this case, "dossier://" for the Library app. Some mail apps, such as Gmail, may be stripping out all non-http links for security concerns.

Workaround

To avoid this behavior, you should do one of the following:

  • Use the "View in Browser" option and tap the Web banner to open the Library app.
  • Copy the link address of the "View in App," and open the Mobile Library app. The Library app will automatically execute the copied dossier.
  • Install Library Mobile application and use the system notification to open the application.
