KB485793: The iOS Library app does not reflect thresholds utilizing plus infinite for the KPI visualizations

Gustavo Sulbaran

Product Specialist • MicroStrategy

This article describes the behavior seen in iOS devices when using +infinite values to set thresholds via KPI visualizations and how to currently overcome the issue.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom

When using the KPI visualization:

and set one of the thresholds to be + Infinite:

When loading the dossier via the Library App on IOS the changes won’t be applied but loading it via the android the thresholds will be applied accordingly:

Action

The Strategy team is aware of this issue and is working on fixing this issue in a future release.

Workaround 1

Instead of using KPI alternatively implement “Multi Metric KPI" as this behavior is not present in this specific, in case of requiring the implementation of +infinite thresholds this is a recommendable option.

Workaround 2
Instead of setting the maximum value of the threshold to +infinite, to alternatively set a value that has a defined limit (e.g. 999999).
