KB440358: Timezone is incorrect in Distribution Services log while in Daylight Savings time

This issue has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to Timezone is incorrect in Distribution Services log while in Daylight Savings time. A code fix for this issue is not available in current releases but is being reviewed for a future MicroStrategy release.

SYMPTOM:
 
It is noticed the "-05:00" shows all year round during Daylight Savings Time (from March to early November) as shown below:
 
2017-11-17 12:20:00.198-05:00 [HOST:xxx][SERVER:CastorServer][PID:1468][THR:6284][Distribution Service][Scheduler Trace] Return from MSIScheduler::OnTriggerSchedule(); iScheduleObjectID = ... 
 
It is expected to display "-04:00".
 

Cause

This is a known issue with Strategy 10.x.
  

Action 

Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
