Tutorial: How to Create Level Metrics in a Dossier

Pedro Marco Ortega

Senior Education Consultant • Strategy

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
In this video, you will learn how to create calculated Level Metrics in a dataset inside a Dossier. In this example we will be creating Level Metrics in order to calculate Profit Contribution for Subcategories related to their own Categories, considering we are displaying only a few subcategories.
You will learn about a couple of Level Metric properties, such as:

  • Relationship with Report filter – You can define how the filter panel affects the metric calculation
  • Metric Aggregations – You can determine how the metric is grouped when displayed in a visualization

Finally, you will learn how to create an additional Derived Metric to calculate Profit Contribution to Total, then you can choose which Level Metric can be referred as Total.
