Tutorial: Importing Multiple Crosstabbed Sheets into a Dossier

Pedro Marco Ortega

Senior Education Consultant • Strategy

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
This 8 minute video shows how to build a Visualization in a Dossier to analyze Car Sales in Spain by Car Type, Fuel Type and Year, coming from a Multiple Cross Tabbed sheet Excel file.
When Strategy detects two or more sheets with exactly the same table structure, it suggests to build one single table, considering every sheet as a different partition for a bigger table.
Additionally, when data is stored in a cross-tabbed format (some attributes as row headers, some other attributes as column headers and some metrics in value section), Strategy can be instructed to reflect this table structure, defining what is an Attribute, what is an Attribute Element and what is a Metric value.
