KB483066: Unable to permanently replace Web Service URL in MicroStrategy Office

SYMPTOM:
After changing the Web Services URL in the Strategy Office configuration window and clicking OK, the newly included path is not saved, even though Microsoft Office product (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is run as administrator.
 
WORKAROUND
Make sure Microsoft Office products are closed and then follow the steps below:

1. Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe) as administrator;
2. Navigate to the key ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroStrategy\DSS Suite\Office\WSURL’;
3. Set the value URLChanged as 1
4.  Set the value WebServicesURL as http://<WebAppServer>/StrategyWS/MSTRWS.asmx 

5. Open Strategy Office. The desired URL should be properly saved in it.
