KB485274: Upcoming platform certification changes in MicroStrategy 2021

Colleen Song

Content Engineer • Strategy

This article is a support notice of the upcoming certification changes in MicroStrategy 2021.
Starting with the release of MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
MicroStrategy is dedicated to providing our customers with the most trusted and secure enterprise analytics platform by leveraging the latest and most secure technologies with our suite of products for enhanced performance, stability, and security. In pursuit of this effort, changes have been made to the configurations supported for MicroStrategy 2021.
This article serves as a six month notice of upcoming changes to the support matrix for third-party software that will come into effect after June 2022. The majority of third-party components that will no longer be supported are past or will soon be past their mainstream end-of-life dates. However, in some cases, configurations that are relatively ‘underutilized’ by MicroStrategy customers may have also been deprecated to prioritize other certifications.
The following configurations will be downgraded to the lowest certification tier of Silver in December 2021 and will no longer be supported after June 2022:

We will be releasing an updated version of the extension based on Google’s new manifest version, Manifest V3. This change imposes new browser version requirements that must be met going forward. We recommend users and customers upgrade their chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge) to Chrome 99 for a smooth transition to the updated version of the extension. See KB485299 for more information.

The details provided in this article summarize changes, however, please refer to the Certification Dossier for a comprehensive list of supported platform and gateways configurations for MicroStrategy 2021. If you have any questions on the support status or requests related to third party software, please contact Support.

Note: To view the latest changes to the certifications scope and impending 3rd party upgrades in 2023, see KB485900.
