Strategy has adopted a new version number scheme to make version identification more intuitive!
Until the end of 2023, Strategy 2021 and its subsequent quarterly updates followed the 11.3.x version sequence. In that sequence, for example, Strategy 2021 Update 11 was released as version 11.3.11 in September 2023. However, to align version numbers more closely with their release timeline, we have introduced a change.
Starting in January 2024, Strategy releases and version numbers reflect both the release year and the release month. Here's how it works for version numbers:
To illustrate the above, here is an example. The first monthly release of 2024 for Managed Cloud Environment (MCE) and client applications was called "Strategy ONE January 2024" with version number "11.4.1".
Following this logic you can decode any version of Strategy ONE released from January 1, 2024 onwards. As a result, future quarterly releases are expected to have the following versions:
This shift from 11.3.x to 11.4.x does not signal a code base overhaul. The progression from 11.3.12 (2021 Update 12) to 11.4.3 (Strategy ONE March 2024) and following incremental releases represent a modest incremental update, akin to earlier 11.3.x updates (e.g. 2021 quarterly updates).
