Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
In Strategy Web 2021 Update 1, Update 2 and Update 3, users fail to change targets for the filters in Dossier. Selector’s targets are reverted to the original state. In browser’s console, the following error can be observed:
1. Create a new dossier and add a dataset with more than two attributes.
2. Add two attributes to the grid.
3. Insert an in-canvas element filter. Set one of the attributes as the source and the grid as the target.
4. Insert another in-canvas element filter. Set the same grid as the target.
5. Show data on the grid and close the Show Data dialog.
6. Save the dossier and re-open the dossier.
7. Add a new visualization to the dossier.
8. Select the new visualization as the target for the in-canvas filter created in step 3. Notice that the change cannot be applied and the aforementioned “Uncaught TypeError” can be found in the browser’s console.
This is a known issue of Strategy Web 2021 Update 1, Update 2 and Update 3.
Currently, this issue is being reviewed by Strategy for a potential code level fix on an upcoming Strategy release.
Recreate the filter and add the targets.
