KB484607: In a dossier with a grid visualization with 100+ columns, vertical and horizontal scrolling is not smooth and the scroll bar lags in MicroStrategy Web 2019, 2020 and 2021

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description 

In Strategy Web 2019 - 2021, when running a dossier with a grid visualization that has more than 100 columns, you may notice that the scrolling is not smooth and the scroll bar lags.

Steps to reproduce 

The following steps were used to recreate the issue in the Strategy Tutorial Project. 

1. Create a report with many attributes and metrics so that the grid has more than 100 columns.
2. Create a dossier and grid visualization.
3. Use the vertical or horizontal scroll bars and observe that they are slightly behind. The scrolling is also not smooth.

Why is this happening?

This issue is being investigated by the Technology team.
