KB440068: What is the order that cells copied from grid from VI dashboard/ Dossier are pasted in?

This knowledge base article describes behavior experienced in VI Dashboards and Dossier in MicroStrategy 10.x: while selecting cells from grid, copying it and pasting in editor (i.e. Excel) they are placed in different order than in original grid.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Create a VI Dashboard/Dossier with a grid
  2. Click on CTRL and select cells.

            3. Copy them and paste into an Excel file. Cells are pasted in the order they were selected in VI dashboard/ Dossier.

This is working as designed.
