This Knowledge Base article describes how users that select the "Do display prompt and use the current default"

SYMPTOM
When saving a dashboard to use the "Do not display prompt and use the current default" option some user may find that the prompt options returns after making a change and save the file in place of selected save as and reselecting the option.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Create a visual insight report with a prompt. (in our case we used the "sales performance (prompted)" as a data set from tutorial for our VI.

2. Open the VI dashboard save the file with a new test name with "Do not Display prompt and use the current answers as the default answers" option.

3. Open the new dashboard the prompt is not encountered as expected. Now change something, in our instance we added a metric, press "save" and close the VI after successfully saving the change.

5. Open the newly saved dashboard again and the prompt is encountered.

This issue was reviewed by our Technology team for feasibility and will not be scoped for a code fix in any upcoming Strategy release
WORKAROUND
By pressing save as instead of a standard save it may be selected to use the "Do not display prompt and use the current default" option once more. KB439657
