KB485990: When sharing a Dossier in MicroStrategy Library, the content of the email received is in English when the recipient user's language is set to a language other than English

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom

When a Dossier is shared using the “Share Dossier” option in Strategy Library, the content of the email received is in English when the recipient user's language is set to a language other than English. However, if the “Subscribe to Dossier” option is used in Strategy Library, the content of the email received will be in the language set for the recipient user.
 

Steps to reproduce

1. Change the User Language setting of the recipient to a language other than English in Strategy Web and apply the changes.

1. With the administrator user, open a Dossier in Strategy Library.
2. Share the Dossier by clicking the "Share Dossier" option and add the user from Step 1 as the recipient.

1. The email received is in English and not in the language set in Step 1 for the recipient user.

1. Now, share the Dossier by clicking on the "Subscribe to Dossier" option. Add the recipient user from Step 1 and check the option "Send preview now to all recipients".
2. The email received is in the language set in Step 1 for the recipient user.

Cause

Currently, the e-mail template used when clicking on the "Share Dossier" option in Strategy Library is only available in English. An enhancement request has been logged to make the email template available in different language versions.
