Each World session will start at the top of the hour and last no longer than 45 minutes. Most sessions will be traditional presentations, but we’re also keen to accept ideas for panel discussions and fireside chats.
For slide-based presentations and demo sessions, we typically recommend that customers spend the first 25 covering content and then reserve the remaining 20 minutes to answer audience questions.
For panel discussions and fireside chats, the session facilitator will work with speakers to either plan content that spans the entire 45 minutes or accommodate some time for audience questions after planned content, according to team preferences.
Strategy reps will work with you to finalize the format that best fits your session and the overall agenda.
Yes, your Strategy account team can help you prepare, refine, and finalize your presentation. Content collaboration should begin as soon as your session is accepted, and details are finalized for agenda publication. If needed, your account team can also provide our Strategy deck template, with includes a variety of iconography and template graphics that can easily be modified for use in your own branded content.
If you have questions that your account team member cannot answer, he or she can contact the Marketing lead assigned to your track for further assistance.
We recommend using standard PowerPoint formats for all track sessions. Customer speakers are encouraged to use their company or organization's corporate PowerPoint template to prepare their presentations. If you prefer to use a Strategy deck, please let your account team know and he or she can provide you with a template.
No, while we encourage customers to share and demonstrate their use cases, we cannot guarantee support for LIVE demos during your presentation. Instead, we encourage you to embed demos directly into your PowerPoint slides. WiFi can be notoriously unreliable in a conference setting, so we find that speaking over a pre-recorded, embedded demo provides the most consistent and well-paced experience for both session presenters and audience members.
We recommend using standard PowerPoint formats for all track sessions—16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 resolution. Presentations are projected onto a screen from a laptop within the room.
There will be a complete A/V set up in each room hosting track sessions. Your presentation will be downloaded on a laptop in the room. We recommend that you arrive at your session 15 minutes early to get set up and double-check your content.
Though not required, as a backup, we recommend that each customer speaker brings his or her laptop, with the presentation saved locally, a US-compatible charger, and an HDMI converter to his or her track session.
Most session rooms will have theater-style seating. The Reimagine: Public Sector will be set cabaret style. Each room will have the following:
There is no set dress code for customer speakers. We recommend that you dress however you are most comfortable presenting your story in a professional setting. Strategy speakers will be dressed in business casual attire.
For slide-based presentations and demo sessions, we typically recommend that customers spend the first 25 minutes covering content and then reserve the remaining 20 minutes to answer audience questions. We’ve found that this is the ideal split of time to keep the audience engaged throughout your presentation, but it’s certainly your prerogative if you want to use most of the time to present.
No, track sessions will not be recorded or streamed—it’s an intimate, exclusive event so our audience must be there to experience it for themselves. Customers who are interested in further amplifying their Strategy story beyond World23 are encouraged to partner with the teams in their region to explore what other options are available to them throughout the year. This may include speaking opportunities at in-region events, hosting a webinar, developing a case study, etc.—please speak with your account team if you’re interested in sharing your story further.
There will be an event photographer present, but we do not plan to photograph individual sessions. If you’d like photos captured while you present, I recommend you partner with members of your account team, or others from the region who will be in attendance, to capture photos that you can reshare after your session. If interested, speak with your account team to find out who will be onsite at World23 from your region.
No, we do not plan to share customer presentations with audience members after each session. Strategy will retain a copy of your content in case we need to reference it retroactively, but these will not be broadly distributed.
The primary speaker for each customer session will receive a complimentary conference pass for Strategy World 2023. They will receive a registration code to waive the conference registration fee during checkout. If already registered, the fee will be refunded.
In addition to the conference materials provided to every attendee, primary customer speakers will receive a special gift for sharing their story at World. Customer speakers will also be invited to an exclusive customer speaker luncheon with Strategy executives as a special "thank you" for leading a session.
Each primary customer speaker may elect to co-present with other colleagues who attend World, but only 1 complimentary conference pass will be given per session.
Travel and accommodation must be covered at each speaker’s expense.
