Certification Status
Strategy has tested and certified the usage of the Amazon Linux Operating System for Strategy Intelligence Server versions 10.4 Hotfix 5 (and higher Hotfixes on 10.4) and 10.9. This status currently applies to 10.4 Hotfix 5, 10.4 Hotfix 6 and 10.9 for the Amazon Linux Operating System - it does not apply to Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 though Hotfix 4.
This is a Post-Certification since the testing was performed after the release of Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 and 10.9. Therefore, the certification information is not present in the Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 or 10.9 Readme file. In order to utilize Amazon Linux as an Operating System, an upgrade must be performed on the Strategy components from the initial 10.4 installations up to at least Hotfix 5 before the configuration and usage of the system. Since this is a Post-Certification an additional step is required during the installation procedure for Amazon Linux only.
Note: Amazon Linux is listed as a certified operating system in the Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.10 readme.
Steps for Installation on Amazon Linux
The Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 installation package includes a check for the Operating System of the machine that the installation is being executed on. Since this installation package was developed before the Post-Certification of Amazon Linux a flag can be used with the installation package to allow for the installation of Strategy Secure Enterprise.
When executing the installation with a GUI element for the installation of 10.4 GA on Amazon Linux, the flag -nocheck can be added to allow for the successful installation and would have the following command syntax:
./setup.sh -nocheck
./setup.sh -nocheck -console
